2019 Bedrock Syrah California

The 2019 Syrah Calico is a blend of sites known for fruit with notable aromatic intensity, in this vintage Walker Vine Hill, Griffin’s Lair, Bien Nacido, Weill a Way and a bit of Bedrock. Bold and punchy, the Calico benefits from a high percentage of whole clusters and Viognier. Interestingly, the whole clusters are not especially evident. The Calico is a wine of tremendous potential. Today, the elements aren’t totally put together. Then again, it was bottled just a few months before this tasting.
