The 2014 Pinot Noir The James is pliant, soft and open-knit. Drink his attractive, mid-weight Pinot over the next few years, while the red stone and cherry fruit remain vibrant. The James emerges from Rita's Crown, Sanford & Benedict and La Rinconada, all well-known sites in the Santa Barbara's Sta. Rita Hills appellation. The 2014 is pretty, but not as distinctive as the best wines in this range.
