Note di degustazione
Francois Bertheau’s 2011 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Amoureuses, tasted blind in a line-up of 2011 Amoureuses in Holland, reveals a slightly pale color. The nose is missing some substance, with both a candied element from the terroir, but also an herbaceous sous-bois element that wins the battle. There is a slight jarring greenness here. The palate is medium-bodied with that greenness coming through on the palate. This is very dry and masculine, austere and tapered on the finish. Disappointing. Tasted June 2014.

Very appetising and light and pure. Far from a grand cru but with admirable purity. A little angular. Slightly hard work. (JR)
Gentle and sweeter smelling than the Charmes. Again that purity, here allied with much greater density on the palate. Fine structure, tannins more marked but not dominant. Very long. (JH)
