Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2025-2040, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2024

St Eden is an  historical reference to this region's designation on nineteenth-century maps. A warm, rainless winter and the cool start to spring in this vintage. Deep garnet. Abundant, juicy red fruit, with wet-stone minerality and undergrowth that adds  elegance and depth. The fruit-driven core is integrated into its creamy, dense  palate, and so are the ripe and firm tannins. There's more complexity from  dried thyme and chocolate on the finish. (FG)

The 2020 St. Eden is beautiful, with ripe black raspberry and plum fruits as well as some background tobacco and violet nuances. It's medium-bodied, layered, and elegant, with fine tannins and outstanding length. It s another outstanding 2020 from this team to enjoy over the coming decade or more.

Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2024-2032, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2023

The 2020 St. Eden is a dark, somber wine up that also shows the lighter-bodied structure of the year yet retains its characteristic juiciness. Black fruit, gravel, incense, grilled herbs and strong savory inflections build in the glass. Time seems to have amplified the intense ripeness of the year. The 2020 is imposingly tannic at the outset, but settles down with a few hours of air.

Punteggio 92-95/100 · Da bere 2024-2034, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2023

The 2020 St. Eden is powerful, deep and explosive. Black cherry, plum, gravel, incense and scorched earth open first, followed by hints of leather and game that add complexity. Surprisingly soft and sensual, with no hard edges, the 2020 marries the natural richness that comes so easily here with the energy of a vintage that was harvested on the early side.
