Punteggio 18/20 · Da bere 2022-2036, Jancis Robinson MW, May 2025

We were shown a special illustrated label for the 2021 Langoa commissioned by Damien Barton to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Barton purchase of Langoa, the family's first property in the Médoc. Anthony B died while it was being designed so features on it in a small way, with his dog. Very dark crimson. Wonderfully perfumed, almost Margaux-like, nose and lovely, silky texture. Gorgeous. Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2027-2050, Neal Martin, Vinous, Feb 2025

The 2015 Langoa Barton has a classy bouquet with cedar- and tobacco-infused black fruit along with a little sous-bois that emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied. taut and crisp, with pliant tannins and plenty of graphite toward the finish that is endowed with fine density and satisfying length. The 2015 is excellent. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting at Farr Vintners.

Punteggio 16.5/20 · Da bere 2025-2040, Jancis Robinson MW, Feb 2025

Tasted blind. Quite rich on the nose. Sweeter than the average St-Julien with a texture (and alcohol) that’s almost furry but it does provide pleasure. Until the scrawny finish. (JR)
