Medium red. Pure, vibrant aromas of red berries, gunflint, pepper and woodsmoke. Plump in the middle, with expressive flavors of pepper, roasted herbs and black olive. Then a bit tougher on the back end, finishing with slightly dry, dusty tannins and good length.

Medium ruby. Expressive aromas of crushed blackberry and cassis. Juicy and tangy, with good grip but modest flesh. High-pitched, rather youthful dark fruit flavors. Not yet as interesting in the mouth as it is on the nose.
