Note di degustazione
Apple jelly and peach preserves on the nose. Honeyed and jellied-fruit richness and sultry gardenia florality in the mouth, augmented and restrained by a refreshing hint of angular acidity and by wet stone and iodine mineral notes. Touches of brown spice emerge on the finish. 1 star.

Bursting from the glass with aromas of spices, minerals, and slate, the sultry, medium-bodied 2003 Riesling Spatlese Dorsheimer Pittermannchen is a plush, supple wine. Broad, angle-free, and revealing outstanding length, this lush offering regales the taster with layers of creamed apples and notes of limestone. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2013. Great intensity of minerals and fantastic natural acidity. Creamy texture and real interest. Bravo! Very lively and refreshing without being skinny in any way. Neat and long. (JR)
