2022 Monzinger Halenberg Grosses Gewachs

AP number 45 23. Quite a price now! Deep straw. Really rather gorgeous and already sumptuous with its balance of fruit and terroir effects. Just on the end there's a little chewiness but also great length and pungency. (JR)

RS 4 g/l, TA 7 g/l. Startlingly taut and pure. Crisp white stone fruit, citrus precision. And then there's the dense, broad palate where limestone reigns supreme. Ripe apricot, cool thyme and sweet herbs countered with a racy acidity and mouth-watering salty thread. Enchanting (PS)

Very attractive nose of peach and spice with just a touch of exotic fruits. Rich and ripe with a touch of mid-palate creaminess as it rolls gently over you, the power very understated. Delicate slatey minerality at the long silky finish. Drink from release.
