Saturated magenta. Displays vibrant, mineral-accented black raspberry and cherry scents that are complemented by suggestions of olive, cracked pepper and violet. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering energetic red and blue fruit flavors that deepen and turn spicier with aeration. In a distinctly nervy style, finishing long and spicy, with discreet tannins and a repeating cherry note.

The largest production cuvée, the 2019 Côte Rôtie Les Triotes comes all from the southern end of the appellation and has a medium to full-bodied, pure, wonderfully balanced style that’s already drinking well. Offering notes of black raspberries, smoked meat, rendered bacon, and violets, it will evolve nicely for 10-15 years, although there’s no need to delay gratification.
Sourced from four lieux-dits in the Côte Blonde, the 2019 Cote Rotie Les Triotes incorporates a bit of whole bunch and a bit of new oak. The result is a bit herbal, minty and sappy, with a greenish tint to its cherry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, with supple tannins, but it finishes tart, with a slightly bitter, herbal note.
Pungent cherry, blueberry and candied violet aromas are complemented by hints of black pepper and smoky minerals. Succulent and penetrating on the palate, offering concentrated, appealingly sweet black/blue fruit flavors, a touch of vanilla and a violet pastille quality that builds through the back half. Shows very good energy and spicy lift, finishing with sneaky tannins and bright, floral-driven persistence.
