2005 Cornas Chaillot

Inky ruby. Seductive perfume of red and dark berries, kirsch and violet, with a bright mineral element. Spicy cherry and blackcurrant flavors combine richness and vivacity, picking up exotic floral pastilles on the finish. This has wonderful freshness and finishing cut, especially for a wine from a powerful, ageworthy year. Really lovely, soil-driven Cornas.
