2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville

The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon’s inky/purple color is followed by loads of cassis, licorice, barbecue smoke and spice box characteristics. Ripe, pure, layered, long and elegant, this was a wonderful discovery. These are two serious wines built with the ripe, pure, concentrated fruit of Napa with a sense of grace and elegance, making them stylistically intriguing. The Cabernet Sauvignon should drink well for 15 years. Oakville has some impressive Cabernet Franc vineyards, from Futo on the western hillsides to Dalla Valle on the eastern hillsides. Tel.
