The 2019 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict opens chalky and citrusy, before deeper scents of roasted almonds, white flowers and honey emerge over time in the glass. The light-bodied palate is still youthfully tangy and mineral-driven, but it finishes with length and savory nuances that hint at much more to come with additional time in bottle.

Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers and tangerine oil all grace this compelling, highly nuanced Chardonnay. What stands out most is the wine's translucent personality, often a feature of wines made from the early 1970s own-rooted blocks at S&B.
