1997 Pouilly Fume en Chailloux

Ripe aromas of grapefruit skin, citrus oils and peach, plus a spicy clove note. Big, spicy, bright and perfumed in the mouth, with firm-edged flavors of lime skin and quinine complicated by spearmint and oak notes. Stylish and shapely for the year. As refreshing as a gin and tonic, but not at all alcoholic. Dagueneau's other '97s have not yet arrived.
