A real knock-out, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon John C. Sullenger Vineyard offers up a compelling mélange of plums, blackberry jam, cloves, graphite and new leather. The flavors are vivid and remarkably precise in this striking, delineated Cabernet Sauvignon. Violets, lavender and mint add the final shades of complexity on the firm finish.

This is a full-throttle red with dried fruits, raisins and spices. Full and rich. A little overdone for me. But some may like the jammy character. Drink or hold.
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon John C. Sullenger is a softer wine than the Hayne, shows nice dark plum, black cherry, blackcurrant fruit, forest floor and a bit of spice. It is medium to full-bodied, shows light to moderate tannin and will better in 2-3 years than it shows now. The wine is long, with lots of upside potential.
