The 2016 Zinfandel Giuseppe and Luisa is pale to medium garnet-purple in color with a nose of prunes, spice cake and Christmas pudding with touches of sandalwood and mocha. The palate is full-bodied, rich and tantalizingly spicy with firm, chewy tannins and a tart acid line sparking the long finish. 893 cases produced.

The Giuseppe & Luisa emerges from a parcel planted by Lee Martinelli Sr. with cuttings taken from the original Jackass Hill vineyard his grandparents planted in 1899.
