1983 Cote Rotie Cote Blonde

Less closed and tannic than La Landonne, this wine's bouquet and flavors offer more fruit, but less body and depth. This is a slightly hard-edged Cote Rotie with vigor and fleshiness, but, again, the question so often posed with this vintage is the same-will the fruit outlast the tannin? Anticipated maturity: now-2003. Last tasted 12/93.
