1988 Hermitage Le Chevalier de Sterimberg

The 1988 Chevalier de Sterimberg is even more concentrated than the 1989, no doubt because their crop size for the white wines was one-half of 1989. It exhibits a great deal of toasty vanillin oakiness, some hazelnut and flowery-scented fruit, full body, and greater depth and better acidity in its finish. Anticipated maturity: now-2005.
