2019 Vouette et Sorbee Fidele

100% Pinot Noir. Dosage 0 g/l. Disgorged October 2022. A wine with a bright but rich liquid-tenor timbre. Oranges, orange peel, orange pips. An underlying hazelnut and pine-nut nuttiness that leaves lingering traces of cumin and Ibérico pork fat and hemp-seed oil. Hemp leaf too. There’s a dramatic, fragrant and peach-sweet oiliness to this wine. Strikingly unusual, complex, exciting and with a Verdicchio-like bitterness it's really vinous. It’s compelling – it keeps drawing me back. (TC)
