Produced for the second time, Molitor's 2017 Riesling Bernkasteler Doctor Auslese *** (Golden Capsule) –Auction– opens to a concentrated, deep and complex bouquet with notes of lemon chutney, crushed rocks, some oak and incense as well as fresh pineapples. Offering great finesse and salinity on the palate, this is a fascinatingly pure and salty-piquant Doctor Auslese with mind-blowing delicacy and mineral tension. The length is amazingly vital and energetic. This Auslese is another growing legend of Markus Molitor. Tasted at the domain in April 2019.
