Note di degustazione
Bright purple. Intense blackberry and boysenberry aromas, with sexy star anise and violet pastille nuances. Stains the palate with vibrant black and blue fruit flavors, picking up spiciness and sweetness with air. Finishes with a suave, alluringly sweet quality, excellent tenacity and silky, harmonious tannins. Quite graceful for a Cornas, or for any wine from the northern Rhone for that matter.

Very dark to the rim. Sweeter, riper dark fruit than the other Colombo Cornas, ripe damson though not jammy, touch of spice and vanilla sweetness, less dark smelling though there's still a strong mineral character on the nose – and a hint of violets. Ripe, rich and yet all in a tight, firm tannic frame. Fresh and mouthwatering on the finish. Lingering and savoury at the end. Definitely the biggest of the four Colombo Cornas wines tasted though at this point I prefer the Louvée. (JH)
