Note di degustazione
Coming from the Leliefontein Vineyard, the 2019 Quartz Chenin Blanc is fresh, mineral-driven and delightfully floral on the nose, with elements of white peach skin, Meyer lemon and yellow apples. The palate offers distinct pineapple and dusty citrus blossom flavors along with succulent acidity and a food-friendly and delicate mineral tension. This is a stunning Chenin Blanc with a balanced structure and wide array of citrus, stone fruit and tropical fruit flavors. It possesses vibrant energy action across the mid-palate and concludes with a delightfully textured and mineral-laced finish. Bravo! Another stunning Chenin for the books.

The 2019 Chenin Quartz was matured for 11 months in used oak. It conveys more terroir expression than the Granite Chenin Blanc: crushed rock and struck flint permeate the honeysuckle and jasmine scents. The palate is well balanced with a waxy opening. Quite a resinous Chenin Blanc, very well balanced, with a light spiced and chiseled finish. This is sophisticated, but it will benefit from 2–4 years in bottle.
