Intense and quite fresh, with aromas of apples, tarte tatin, chalk, minerals, cumin, pineapple, mangoes, almonds and a hint of honey. Full-bodied on the palate, with pastry and apple flavors, fine bubbles, zesty acidity and a chalky, austere finish. Tasted from magnum. Still has the substance and energy for aging. Drink or hold.

(for a magnum) Bright green-straw. Pungent, pure, mineral-driven aromas of lime, melon, white peach and honeysuckle expand with air. Fresh and sharply focused, offering lively citrus flesh and zest flavors and a suave underpinning of smoky minerals. Turns creamier on the long, gently sweet finish. An impressive showing; this is balanced to reward patience.
