Note di degustazione
The 2015 Brut XV Triumvirat Grande Cuvée is a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grown on limestone. Fifty-eight percent of the base wines were fermented in barrique, with the rest in stainless steel. The wine spent more than 100 months on lees. Subtle smokiness highlights the reductive style of the house, followed by red apple, shortcrust pastry and melted butter. The palate is slender, smooth and bright, not showing its age. On the contrary, it is sprightly and fresh, just hitting its stride. Tiny, fine bubbles disperse freshness in this rounded yet sleek wine. The finish is all umami and wonderfully dry—definitely a wine for the table. Dosage is 2 grams per liter. Disgorged: April 2024.

The 2015 Triumvirat XV Grande Cuvée Brut is an assemblage of 61% Pinot Noir, 20% Meunier and 19% Chardonnay from the Bürgel and was aged in barriques (58%) and stainless steel (42%). Disgorged in February 2024, this is a deep, pure and complex, intense and iodine-scented sparkling wine of great class. Full-bodied, fresh and nervous on the palate, with bread and nutty flavors, this is a pure, fresh and complex, still young Triumvirat with a long, dense and stimulating saline finish. It was disgorged as Brut Nature yet labeled as Brut.
