2015 Raumland Blanc de Blancs Reserve (90 months) Extra Brut

The 2015 Blanc de Blanc Réserve Extra Brut is a 100% Pinot Blanc from roughly 25-year-old and older vines and vinified in stainless steel (92%) and old barriques (8%). Disgorged after 96 months in February 2024, the wine shows a deep, intense and fresh, iodine-inflected and substantial bouquet with ripe lemony notes. Medium to full-bodied, this is a fresh, finessed and minerally structured, very energetic Pinot Blanc with perfectly ripe fruit reminiscent of healthy raisins and vanilla (pain aux raisins) and a long, tight, mineral or saline finish. This is a superb gastronomic wine to have with fish and poultry and certainly white cheese. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2024.
