Note di degustazione
Apple garlanded in heliotrope and lily-of-the-valley makes for a heady, head-turning nose that translates into a satisfyingly juicy and seductively liquid floral impression on a creamy palate. Like the corresponding Juffer-Sonnenuhr, this finishes at once soothingly and refreshingly, not to mention with impressive persistence, though for now at least it doesn’t reveal quite that wine’s sense of transparency to subtly stony nuances.

Still very reductive on the nose, the 2015 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese is clear and ripe, as well as flinty and precise, but still discreet and a bit caged. The wine shows a great purity, finesse and lightness on the palate. It's piquant and finishes with a lush and mouth-watering fruit, with lingering salinity and piquancy. There is very nice grip here! Highly attractive, but readers should wait for another decade.
