NB vintage. From a particularly old parcel of Grenache. Luscious and lovely. Fabulous texture and wonderfully relaxed pure Grenache flavours. I suspect this is made in horribly small quantity but it is definitely worth seeking out. Looks even better than in November. VGV (JR)

A blend of mainly Grenache, yet with a dash of Carignan, that comes from a parcel bought in 1850 from Jean de Verde, the 2010 Domaine Daniel et Denis Alary Côtes du Rhône Villages Cairanne La Jean de Verde oozes Grenache flair with sappy flowers, wild strawberry, framboise, and spice qualities flowing to a medium to full-bodied, supple, and lightly textured palate. Long, fresh, and decidedly elegant and polished, it a beautiful example of the appellation and will shine for 6-7 years, possibly longer.
90% old Grenache, 10% old Carignan. Intensely sweet. Fizzy finish. Rather unstable-tasting. Vibrates in the mouth and then very chewy finish. Bit of a fast fade. (JR)
