FINE+RARE

Wild blackberry and blueberry mingle on the nose along with more sauvage notes of forest floor, crushed leaves, smoke and black peppercorn. Addition of 5% Viognier contributes faint iris and violet. Electric on the palate, the mouthfeel is lean, focused and fresh with more red fruit note of cranberry and raspberry, as well as savory notes of charcuterie and olive tapenade. The overall feel of the wine is so elegant, with highly concentrated dark aromatics balanced by incredible freshness and lift on the palate. Drinking very well now, this wine will easily age 5-7+ years in order to unveil even more savory characteristics.

Blended with 5% Viognier and all from the southern part of the appellation (Maison Rouge, Lancement, Bassenon), the 2022 Côte Rôtie Blonde Du Seigneur brings another level of class and elegance over the Saint Joseph, with ripe black raspberries, smoky bouquet garni, flowers, and hints of game. These carry to a medium to full-bodied Côte Rôtie that has a vibrant, lively mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and nicely integrated acidity. It's one classic Côte Rôtie that will evolve for two decades. Drink 2025-2045.

A well-shaped, fleshy and linear Cote-Rotie made of 95% syrah and 5% viognier, showing aromas of dark cherries, roasted meat and baking spices. It's medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins. A dense core of purple fruit and plenty of spice on the palate. Focused with a bright, vivid and succulent character. Persistent finish. Drink or hold.

Deep bluish-purple colour. Classic Syrah aromas of black pepper and olive brine along with notes of juicy blueberry and plum, incense and hibiscus tea. Vivacious, with refreshing acidity and grainy tannins. It has a long life ahead but is approachable now. (JRL)
