Note di degustazione
The 2020 Le Moulin has a glossy, ripe black cherry and cassis nose that just lacks the complexity of its peers. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry with a dark chocolate note infusing the black fruit. Quite oaky (100% new) and it rather smothers the finish. It is a balanced Pomerol, but not one that triggers superlatives.

The 2020 Le Moulin is a heady, flamboyant wine. Blackberry preserves, bittersweet chocolate, incense, leather, smoke, cloves and sweet oak are all amplified in the glass. Le Moulin is not at all subtle, but it will appeal to readers who like plush, concentrated reds. I find the style a bit over the top. Somehow, though, it works.
The 2020 Le Moulin is an opulent wine packed with raspberry preserves, vanillin and new oak. This plush Pomerol is not exactly subtle, but it does offer tons of immediacy in an unabashedly opulent style.
Displaying a deep purple-black color, the 2020 Le Moulin springs from the glass with intoxicating notes of wild blueberries, chocolate-covered cherries and licorice, plus fragrant hints of violets and cinnamon stick. The medium-bodied palate has lovely grace and poise, featuring blue and black fruit layers and a velvety texture, finishing with a spicy kick.
