Bright medium ruby. Pungent aromas of cassis, blackberry, mulberry, licorice pastille and bitter chocolate. Dense, fine-grained and alive, showing lovely inner-mouth energy to buffer its youthfully inky dark berry and dark chocolate flavors. The wine's firm acidity and pungent underlying minerality call for at least another year of patience. This vibrant blend finishes with substantial broad, dusty tannins, a lingering note of bitter chocolate and a light touch.
