The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Finca Los Membrillos was co-fermented with a 10% dash of Malbec and hails from Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley. Aged for 12 months in 500-liter used French oak barrels, it's garnet-red in the glass. The nuanced nose presents sharp notes of blackcurrant accompanied by thyme and pepper over a layer of cedar. Dry and abundant on the palate, the finely-grained tannins, chalky texture and taut, measured acidity lead to a compact, extremely complex, long-lasting finish. This bold Cabernet gets the best out of a cool area in a warm year.

The 2020 Finca Los Membrillos is a co-fermentation of Cabernet Sauvignon with some 20% Malbec, and they discard the deeper soils for the fermentation. It has place typicity, with the green pepper, and has freshness and balance. It's completely different from the Malbec wines, and they have been fine-tuning this wine in the last few years. Very good. 5,800 bottles were filled in June 2021.
