Coming from a cooler, higher elevation site of granitic soils, the 2021 Saint-Péray Lieu-Dit Payrolles brings another level of class, with beautiful aromatics of honeyed stone fruits, toasted almonds, acacia flowers, and a kiss of nectarine oil. It too is medium-bodied but brings beautiful mid-palate depth, integrated acidity, and a great finish. This complex, layered, utterly classic Saint-Péray will drink nicely for 4-6+ years.
