The 2022 Condrieu les Vieilles Vignes de Jacques Vernay is another gem in Ogier's lineup. Wafting from the glass with a ripe, dense bouquet of spices, baked pear, white peach, rose and almond blossoms, it's full-bodied, dense and satiny, with a textural palate, bright and vibrant acids framed by gastronomic bitterness and a long, saline finish. Denser and broader than La Combe de Malleval—quite an achievement—this Condrieu is controlled power incarnated. Kudos!

Cask sample. Inviting and ripe nose with spice apple and peach. The palate has great concentration and balance, excellent acidity and freshness as well. Saline and mineral as well as being elegant, such intensity of flavour and a mouth-watering finish. Can't believe how this wine consistently maintains acidity and crystalline purity in each vintage.
