Raised in stainless steel, the Riquewihr Riesling 2023 R. R. Q. W. R. is from granite, sandstone, limestone and marl. It opens with an intense yet pure, elegant and fragrant nose with coolish lemon and stony aromas. Medium-bodied, lush and intense on the palate and still a bit reductive, this is a very saline and ascetic but also juicy and mineral dry Riesling that represents the coolish terroir of Riquewihr. Tasted as a sample in April 2024.

The 2023 R. R.Q.W.R. is the village Riesling of Riquewihr, mostly picked on a mix of eroded sandstone and limestone on top of marl. It has lovely touches of bright, citric yeast and crushed foliage. The palate is slender, fresh, vivid, very juicy and light. (Bone-dry)
