Bright medium red. Cranberry, red licorice and a hint of game on the nose, lifted by a topnote of rose petal. Not a fleshy style but juicy, penetrating and nicely delineated, with harmonious acidity extending the finish. Jean-Marie Fourrier described this premier cru as "beautifully located but unknown."

Bright medium red. Inviting aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, red cherry and spices. Silky and pliant in the mouth, conveying an impression of thorough ripeness with classical dryness. Pure red fruit and spice flavors are accented by a delicate rose petal quality. Boasts excellent intensity and length, finishing with suave, perfectly integrated tannins. Very pretty Gevrey wine.
The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru les Cherbaudes has an elegant bouquet, very pure with a slight metallic note suffusing the maraschino cherry, raspberry preserve and orange zest aromas that are very defined. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite conservative in some ways, gentle grip in the mouth with a brisk, saline finish. I would just like to see more personality develop here.
Close to Clos de Bèze. Bright ruby. Light nose. Bright cherry fruit. Solid stuff and only mid weight. Quite marked acidity. (JR)

Domaine Fourrier is located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate has been run by Jean-Marie Fourrier since 1994, and has rapidly become one of the village’s most fashionable names, known for producing pure and transparent Pinot Noir.
