Punteggio 98/100 · Da bere 2030-2053, Jeb Dunnuck, Feb 2026

A blend of both the Côte Blonde and Côte Brune lieux-dits, the 2023 Côte Rôtie La Mordorée offers a deep purple hue and beautiful aromatics of black cherries, red plums, smoked meats, and peppery, graphite nuances that turn more floral with time in the glass. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Côte Rôtie that has a seamless, layered mouthfeel, ultra-fine yet building and serious tannins, flawless balance, and a great, great finish. This is absolutely brilliant juice that deserves 4-6 years of bottle age and will evolve for 20-30 years in cold cellars. Drink 2030-2053.

Punteggio 92-94/100 · Da bere 2027-2039, Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, Nov 2024

The 2023 Côte-Rôtie La Mordorée mixes grapes grown on the two lieux-dits Côte Brune and Côte Blonde. Kicking off with in-your-face graphite, the 2023 also packs ripe black cherry, black plum, fresh violet and cedar scents on its complex aromatic profile. Structured and savory, the medium-bodied 2023 still captures enough freshness to maintain its elegant stature. This finishes with a resonant echo on the nuanced finale.

Punteggio 95-97/100 · Jeb Dunnuck

A blend of multiple lieux-dits (Côte Blonde and Côte Brune), the 2023 Côte Rotie La Mordorée reveals a deep purple hue followed by a smoking nose of ripe red and blue fruits, spring flowers, bouquet garni, and smoky, meaty nuances. It's ripe, medium to full-bodied, has a plush mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and a great finish. Coming from 100% Syrah that was 70% destemmed, it spent 18 months in 20% new Burgundy barrels.
