Note di degustazione
A wonderfully fresh and bright nose is comprised by notes of green apple, citrus and cool mineral reduction. The intense and well-delineated, if less concentrated, middle weight flavors are shaped by lemontinged acidity on the markedly stony, clean and nicely dry but not really austere finale. The mouthfeel is classic Monts Luisants, e.g., like rolling a small pebble around the palate. Drink 2030+

The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Monts Luisants Blanc is showing especially well, exhibiting notes of citrus zest, white flowers, toasted nuts and pastry cream, followed by a medium to full-bodied, tangy and incisive palate, concluding with a long, nutmeg-inflected finish.
The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Monts Luisants Blanc 1er Cru has much more tension and mineralité than the Village Cru, with touches of lanolin and peach skin. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, though it's a little sunny toward the finish. It doesn't possess the tension that a cooler season might have bestowed. Still, it should drink well for several years.
The last picked, but a site which can manage that, and has held on to its acidity. The plot was planted in 1987 on grèzes litées soil. The wine shows the hillside limestone character delightfully, with a long, refined finish. The pick of the whites here.
