Note di degustazione
Full bottle 1,320 g. Vermentino, Grenache Blanc and Viognier blend made in Langlade in the Gard department. Owned by René Rostaing in Côte Rôtie. Much fresher than most Languedoc whites, presumably thanks to a hefty proportion of Vermentino. In fact it's quite tense with lots of lemony acidity. It should age quite well and my suggested drinking window may be too conservative. This certainly has nobility although not quite ready yet. (JR)

A similar blend to the Le Vassal, although with slightly more Syrah and Mourvèdre, the 2021 Languedoc Puech Noble has a medium-bodied, balanced, nicely textured profile as well as plenty of almost Northern Rhône-like gamey red and black fruits, pepper, and violets. It's impeccably made and well worth drinking.
