A relatively forward, sexy example of this cuvee (which is common in the vintage), the 2012 Cuvee Cabassaou Bandol Rouge has the classic wild perfume of the region in its roasted herbs, sweet blackberry fruits, graphite and Provencal Garrigue-scented bouquet. Full-bodied, supple, mouth-filling and already hard to resist, it has enough concentration to evolve gracefully for another decade at least.

Heady, complex nose. Already quite evolved on the nose. Very juicy – much more so than Cabassaou usually is. Racy and polished. Sinewy and long. (JR)
