The fruit for this wine comes from 10 different village plots, totalling two hectares – all owned by Remoissenet. There was a touch of reduction when we tasted, however beneath this is a juicy and vibrant wine. It’s long, full of dark red berry fruit, with smoky, savoury tones. There’s a firm framework of tannins, providing structure to what is a very impressive village Gevrey-Chambertin.
