Interestingly, the 2011 Fleurie Les Moriers was more evolved than its impressively vibrant 2010 counterpart, exhibiting aromas of dark berries, grilled meats, forest floor and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, with rich tannins and a sapid finish, it's fully mature.

From magnum, aged in foudres. 100% whole bunch. A light herbal note but no greenness. Dry finesse and fine texture, though there is a little bit of stemmy austerity on the finish. Finest of tannins but a little less harmonious than the 2015. (JH)
Lovely stemmy sort of character. Pencil shavings, black cherry, juicy and satisfying. Great stuff – stands out from its peers for the range of flavour, astute balance and sheer deliciousness! (RH)
Bright violet color. A seductively perfumed bouquet evokes red and dark berries, lavender, Asian spices and smoky minerals. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering vibrant black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that gain sweetness with air. The mineral quality comes back strong on the finish, which features silky tannins and a zesty floral pastille nuance.
