Note di degustazione
The 2021 Cairanne la Brunote is 40% each Grenache and Mourvèdre, plus 20% Carignan. There's a pleasantly mushroomy edge (presumably from the Mourvèdre) to the aromas of black cherries and licorice on the nose, while this medium to full-bodied wine is silky textured and streamlined on the palate, with a notably lengthy finish. It's an excellent wine, especially for a 2021.

60% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 10% Carignan. Aged for 18 months in tanks and then 6 months in bottles. Tank sample. Tasted blind. Primary nose, plenty of spice and liquorice aromatics. Fresh acidity and a sleek palate with a lifted spiced feel, quite soft tannins and a ripe dark fruit core. A distinct earthy saline note on the finish. Will drink well early. (AC)
