Note di degustazione
Coming from a single, terraced vineyard with four terraces (three red and one white) not far from the château, the 2023 Gigondas Le Poste is all Grenache that wasn't destemmed and was raised in used oak. Also ripe and upfront, it exhibits ample black berries, red plums, candied violets, flowery incense, and pepper on the nose. It's concentrated on the palate, with ripe, round, layered tannins, ample mid-palate depth, and polished tannins. It's probably the most complete and layered of the lineup. Drink 2026-2045.

A little muted at first, the 2023 Gigondas Le Poste comes to life gradually, unwinding with ripe black fruits, cassis, dried herbs and a floral lift of fresh violets. Licorice adds spicy depth. Full-bodied and tightly structured by ripe tannins, the 2023 is a dense, multi-faceted Le Poste clocking out with impressive resonance on the refined finale.
The 2023 Gigondas le Poste is superb, opening in the glass with aromas of violets, wild blackberry, licorice, garrigue and crushed rock. Medium- to full-bodied, deep and layered, it’s more taut and vertical than its siblings this year, and it's built around a spine of chalky tannins and bright acids that lend the wine precision and length. Despite its inherent power, it retains a sense of restraint and refinement, with a long, mineral-driven finish that speaks to the vineyard’s limestone soils. This is a serious, classically proportioned Le Poste that will reward a decade or more of cellaring.
100% Grenache. Certified organic (AB Agriculture Biologique). Cask/tank sample. Tasted blind. Rich, dense and structured palate with blue fruit, dark cherry and firm tannins. Brooding mid palate with good intensity of dark fruits, cocoa and garrigue. There is a richness here and a broad finish. (AC)
