2015 Chardonnay Barrique

Golden-tinged straw yellow. Soft, creamy, apple nose with a hint of lemon skin. Surprisingly citric, lemony fruit palate with a fine, chalky texture and hints of hazelnuts. I think this will be better with an additional year in the bottle. A subtle rendition of Sicilian Chardonnay and against the cliché of richness and heaviness. (WS)
