Note di degustazione
(this cuvée , made from 50-to-60-year-old vines in Chenevery, Clos Solon and Les Porroux, will be labeled Trilogie beginning with the 2014 release): Healthy dark red. Reticent dark berries and minerals on the nose. Juicy and tightly wound, even a bit ungiving today, with streaky pomegranate acidity and a firm tannic spine calling for at least a few years of cellaring. The acidity is rather strident in the early going.

The 2013 Morey St Denis Village Cru already offers more black fruit on the nose compared to the Tres Girard ’13. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, a fine thread of acidity and a harmonious finish that exerts a light grip. There is fine precision here and for me, a step up from the Très Girard '13 this year.
