Note di degustazione
Violet, iris, white peach and Meyer lemon inform a delightfully penetrating nose, a silken, lusciously juicy palate and a refreshing, bell-clear finish. A nip of radish adds invigoration on top of vibrancy. Mineral nuances here run a remarkable gamut from smoky and ashen through stony and alkaline to mouthwateringly saline.

The 2018 Rauenthal Nonnenberg Riesling is a pure and very fine dry Riesling from the phyllite slate soils of this 6.5-hectare cru. Crunchy slate and flinty notes intermixed with elegant and bright Riesling aromas lead to a lush and round, tight and structured, very elegant and full-bodied dry Riesling with fine tannins and lingering salinity. 12.2% alcohol. This is the most powerful of the three grands crus soon to be released. Bottled at the end of July and tasted in August 2019.
This has a rich and very attractive, dry style with intense aromas of dried flowers, pears, peaches and apples. The palate is smooth and succulent with real clarity, gentle creaminess and a long sleeve of fresh-fruit flavor. Drink or hold.
