Gentle aromas of green and citrus fruit mingle on the nose, accompanied by a flinty notion. On the palate the juicy fruit of mandarin is given a marked injection of mineral character with nuances of quinine and salt. Delicate notes of pith and peel add a phenolic edge to the finish. (MS)

The 2018 Marienburg GG Fahrlay Terrassen is super clear, complex and intense on the slatey, very elegant nose that displays a deep, refined and mineral bouquet of perfectly ripe and flinty Riesling berries with herbal and stony notes. Crystalline, finessed and elegant on the palate, this is a rich yet pure, refreshingly mineral and also juicy Fahrlay from vines that are 100+ years old. 13.5% alcohol. Tasted from AP 3819 in July 2020.
