2008 Cornas Empreintes

Even better, the 2008 Cornas Empreintes, along with Pierre-Marie Clape's Cornas, is undoubtedly the 'Cornas of the vintage' in 2008. Elegant notes of blackberries, cassis, graphite, licorice and herbs are found in this dense, medium to full-bodied wine with silky edges. With serious depth and richness, it should drink nicely for 7-8 years. One of the most successful Northern Rhone producers in the difficult 2008 vintage, is the estate of Eric and Joel Durand.
