2019 Echezeaux

Producer forgot to add a drop of SO2 to this sample, apparently. Cask sample. Deepish crimson. The lack of SO2 shows in a slightly riper aroma, more damson. Certainly not oxidised but showing the oxygen affect. On the palate, very fresh and showing no signs of oxidation. Fresh, deep, chewy, but pretty approachable compared with stereotypical Échezeaux.
