Note di degustazione
The medium-bodied 2021 Gigondas La Cuvée Tradition comes in slightly below the 2022 vintage. Pale ruby in color, it offers fragrant orange blossom, raspberry compote, forest strawberry and licorice notes. Sleek and uplifting, it ends with a juicy finish.

The classic 2021 Gigondas Tradition is cut from the same cloth, with a classy, incredibly Provençal perfume of sweet raspberry and strawberry fruit as well as peppery herbs, pepper, and some minerality. It's a touch more masculine and firm on the palate, with medium-bodied richness, yet it's complex, has terrific balance, and a great finish. A blend of 80% Grenache and 10% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre, aged in old tanks and concrete, it's well worth buying and drinking any time over the coming 7-8 years or so. Another classic, incredibly traditional estate in Gigondas, Moulin de la Gardette is a family run estate that covers a tiny 10 hectares of vines, most on higher elevation, more north-facing parcels. The farming is all organic (since 2000), and this estate consistently producers character-filled, textbook Gigondas.
Shimmering ruby. Suggestions of licorice and garrigue complement deeply pitched red and dark berry scents. Sappy and energetic on the palate, offering fresh black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors, along with smoky mineral and exotic spice flourishes. Shows sharp clarity on the smoky, clinging finish, which features supple tannins and resonating floral and spice notes.
