2022 Wiltinger Gottesfuss Alte Reben

The 2022 Gottesfuss Alte Reben GG has a clear, finely spicy slate nose with fine Saar Riesling fruit. It is juicy and quite creamy on the dense and mouth-filling palate, again with slate spiciness and good structure, but also somewhat ponderous due to the site location in this so hot and long dry year. At this stage, it is far less impressive than previous vintages but with potential for the better. Tasted in Wiesbaden at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in August 2023.
